FQA: What to Know Before Heading to a Nail Salon

- What should I look for when choosing a nail salon?
Look for a clean and well-maintained salon with a valid license and experienced technicians.

- How do I know if a nail salon is using safe and hygienic practices?
Ask about their sanitation procedures, such as how they disinfect their tools and whether they use disposable items like files and buffers.

- What should I expect during a basic manicure or pedicure?
You can expect to have your nails shaped, cuticles pushed back and trimmed, and polish applied. A pedicure may also include a foot soak and callus removal.

- How can I communicate my preferences to my nail technician?
Be clear and specific about what you want, such as the nail shape, length, and color. You can also bring a picture for reference.

- What should I do if I notice any red flags during my visit to the nail salon?
Speak up and address your concerns with the salon staff. If necessary, consider finding a different salon that follows safe and hygienic practices.
